RCBC Plaza “Christmas in a Shoebox” Project

RCBC Plaza’s Christmas in a Shoebox Project, launched in 2014, aims to make a positive difference in the lives of our less fortunate little brothers and sisters who are abandoned, neglected and staying in different shelters across the Metropolis.

Shoeboxes filled with school supplies, hygiene items, accessories and small toys are carefully wrapped as presents for the children of our chosen foundation.

Last January 8, a total of 244 Shoebox Gifts were received by Tulay ng Kabataan Foundation (TNK), RCBC Plaza’s chosen recipient for its 2015 Christmas in a Shoebox project, via their Partnership and Core Group Coordinator, Ms. Fleur Cottet, at TNK’s main office in Diliman, Quezon City.

The shoebox gifts will benefit TNK’s Street Children Program which supports about 250 boys and girls ages 4 to 18 years old who are sent back to formal schooling each year in June.

“Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

It gives us so much joy knowing that we are able to make a difference in the life of a child even through a very simple shoebox gift, and it is our intention to continue doing so for the years to come.
